everybody's doing a brand new dance now

at penland one of the instructors had brought their children along and they ended up making a sandcastle village in the volleyball court for two weeks.  the son was nice enough to show me around one day.

i got lost in the backwoods around penland for two hours and i took these pictures.

i've just returned home to cleveland from penland.  i have a lot to share.  these are just some pictures of the landscape and the clay studio to start with.  it's pretty impossible to capture the incredible beauty of the landscape that i was surrounded by for two weeks.  it's also impossible to express how incredible and life-changing the experience was.  truly the greatest two weeks of my life.

it took three solid days of flocking... but what the duck, it looks great.  i'm pretty much in love with flocking now.  blue duck still to come.
